Manager from XISS Ranchi: Santosh Joshi

At times MBA from a reputed college like XISS can't get you the desired job. Santosh came in this bracket. Intelligent, focused, confident the missing link was an opportunity and the required banking skill set. EBRP gave Santosh the right platform and he secured a job with ING Vysya as an ASM @ 2.40 LPA on completion of his 50 hours training programme.a

Off-Rolls to Bank’s Employee: Madhavi Gupta

Madhavi Gupta, a finance postgraduate and a PG program holder in Banking Operation from IFBI, but even after spending a lakh of Rupees she was empty handed. She tried herself and got an off Roll job but was not at all satisfied with the job. She left the same after 6 months and in search of a new job came to the PSIB Gurgaon center and got to know about the openings in IndusInd Bank as relationship officer. She enrolled for the SBP course an entirely delivery based concept and grabbed the opportunity within 10 days of her enrollment.

A journey from a GRADUATE to a BANKER: Himanshi

A BBA student from RNIS College of Management, Himanshi had been brought up in a bankers family. With such environment at home, the child is expected to have the same goal as ones parents but Himanshi was different. Sachin Jakhar, VP & Dean PSIB recounts his first interaction with her, "Himanshi from day 1 had her mind clear "I wanna be an RM" and she had the sales bent of mind for this. It was like selling skills came naturally for her". She achieved her goal by joining Deutsche Bank as SM- mortgages.

A journey from a GRADUATE to a BANKER: Amrinder

Amrinder, a graduate wanted to make a career in banking and hence prepared for various bank PO exams after college. Due to huge competition and limited opportunities he was not able to clear the entrance and spent close to couple of years after his graduation in preparation. With his dream seeming shattered, He enrolled for  the BRP programme and got selected in leading private bank for an on-roll job, with a package for 3.1 LPA and finally patience paid off for him !!!

BPO to Corporate Banking: Divya Kapoor

Thousands of students join BPO after their graduation for easy money. Initially it feels right as lot of opportunities are available for graduate freshers and no specific skills are required. But later they face challenges in terms of growth and acceptability for various profiles in other industry. Divya belonged to the same group, smart intelligent hungry for success but with BPO experience she couldn't switch to a better industry and a better job. Hunger makes a person strive for more, PSIB gave her the platform to learn & expertise her skills. And what she achieved is a benchmark. To secure a Job in institutional banking @ 3.30 L CTC as a fresher speaks volume about her character and determination.

Wealth Manager from Bangalore: Bhupendra Sharma

Bhupendra had a dream of being addressed as a "BANKER", hence to follow the same he enrolled for the 2 year MBA programme from the respectable Christ University Bangalore. On completion of his MBA from top 30 ranked B-School, he felt disheartened of have not got ample opportunities to kick start his career in the banking arena. With a clear objective of achieving his goal he left no stone un-turned in gunning for his target  and finally made it to KARVY Private Wealth as wealth manager on completion of 15 day EBRP program.

Wealth Manager from LONDON:Maneet Ahuja

Maneet Ahuja, was one among the thousands who pursue their masters from abroad with an end objective of securing a good respectable job. On completion of his MBA from London, Maneet struggled in his search for a Job in the BFSI industry. He found his track after enrolling for the EBRP programme an entirely delivery based concept where he had undergone intensive 50 hrs of training on various aspects of banking.  His hardwork finally paid off as he secured the job of a Private Wealth Manager with KARVY Private Wealth @ CTC -3 lacs.

At a CTC of Rs 1.8 LPA with 6 years of experience , Bharat was really wanting a suitable platform to kick start his career. He decided to enroll for the weekend batch , did a spectacular job balancing his job with his course and this hard work finally paid off as he secured a job with ING Vysya bank @2.8 LPA in Business Banking. A salary hike of close to 60% to add to it on the bank pay roll surely would be a big boost for his career.

A journey from a GRADUATE to a BANKER: Hasan Sheikh

Hasan a B.Com. (H) student from Delhi University did his Bank ready programme (120hrs) along with his final year of graduation. It took lot of hard work and determination to manage 2 courses at a time. On completion of the program, Hasan sheikh made it to Dunia Finance, DUBAI at a package of 7.5 LPA. Thousands of students enroll at Delhi University every year, but a very small percentage of these gets a JOB of his/her interest. Others  take one of the many paths discussed in our last post.

Why do banks hire from PSIB -

Availability of bank ready talent ensures reduced cost both in terms of monetary and time  for the employer as the joinee has already undergone the required orientation at his own cost that too prior to his joining the organisation, thus enabling him to contribute in the revenue generation mechanism at the earliest. Secondly the bank is able to fill the openings locally hence reducing the relocation cost and indirectly reducing employee turnover ratio.
